Privacy Policy

KUT ("KUT", "we", "us") operates the CV tailoring service available at this website. This page is maintained by KUT to answer common privacy questions about our product. It is not a third-party certification. If you have questions, email hello@kut.app.

• Account data: email address, and a hashed password if you sign up with one.
• CV content: the resume file you upload and any text you paste in.
• Job data: the job descriptions or URLs you submit for tailoring.
• Quiz answers: role, seniority, urgency and pain-point answers you give us to qualify.
• Usage data: pages visited, buttons clicked, approximate location from IP, device and browser type.
• Billing metadata: plan, status, and last four digits from our payment processor. We never see your full card number.

• Generate tailored CVs and cover letters for the jobs you submit.
• Operate your account, process payments, and provide support.
• Improve the product — aggregated and de-identified only.
• Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets). We only send marketing email if you opt in.

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not share your CV with recruiters, employers, or advertisers.
• We do not use your CV content to train public foundation models.

We rely on a small number of vendors to run KUT. They only receive the data they need to do their job:

• Hosting & database: Cloudflare and our managed Postgres provider.
• AI processing: the model providers we use to generate the tailored CV. Content is sent under a zero-retention agreement where offered.
• Payments: Stripe or Paddle, depending on region.
• Email: a transactional email provider for receipts and password resets.
• Analytics: privacy-respecting product analytics — no cross-site tracking, no ad networks.

We keep your uploaded CV and tailored outputs while your account is active so you can retail against new jobs without re-uploading. Delete a CV any time from your account and it is removed from active storage within 30 days. Closing your account deletes all personal data within 30 days, except records we are legally required to keep (e.g. invoices for tax reasons).

Depending on where you live (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, and similar laws), you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, export, or object to certain processing. Email privacy@kut.app and we will respond within 30 days.

We use strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your plan. We do not use advertising cookies. Product analytics is first-party and does not track you across other sites.

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorized engineers and logged. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe you've found a vulnerability, please email security@kut.app.

KUT is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product.
